Daydreams

Everyone has a moment were life goes off the rails
Sometimes I get weak and tired
And just want to sleep

You’re crazy to think what you’re thinking
You’re crazy to not think it

I could already feel the knifepoint pressing
Against the plump pads of my fingertips
That delicate tension right before the cut
I lost my breath the pain was so stunning

You’re crazy to think what you’re thinking
Daydreams can be dangerous
You’re crazy to not think it

Slumped down into the water, let it flow into my ears
A sinking ship going under, drown with my eyes open
Just refuse to lift yourself two inches, it will be done
A few moments of discipline, what a pure way to die

You’re crazy to think what you’re thinking
Daydreams can be dangerous
You’re crazy to not think it

A penchant for doing and seeing nasty things
Fearing the door might swing open
Yet almost hoping
